John M. Burgess, HA3643
John M. Burgess is a native Californian raised in Southern California and transplanted to Santa Barbara as a teenager. He began work as a calibration technician at Raytheon in Goleta while attending UCSB in electrical engineering. He rapidly promoted from test engineering to test manager and finally manufacturing programs manager. In 1995 he decided to change careers and adopted hearing needs as his professional future, which field he discovered while attempting to assist his father in his personal struggle with hearing loss. John acquired his licensing in 1997 and transferred his family to Santa Maria where he established Hometown Hearing Aids in May of that year. His mantra "always put the patient first" resonated well with the community. Toward that end John has always looked to mating the best technology available with personalized service to ensure excellent hearing outcomes.
